It was a stormy night when she walked through the forest ambivalent about the way she had to choose amidst all the darkness. Behind her lied the battles she had fought and ahead of her lied the unknown. The thunder was screaming at her asking her to go home but this wasn't one of those nights when she would give up so she picked herself up and walked ahead without compunction.
She walked ahead only to find that she wasn't alone and there were many like her finding a way to the city. While some walked with her for a long distance, some left her midway. It hurt her to see those people leave who once upon a time made big promises to her. But sorrow of the people that got lost in the darkness did not stop her as the conflagration of determination continued to grow inside her.
The clouds became wild and the rainfall showed no sign of ending. The wolves and the birds sang the dirge and this sent a chill down her spine. The rain drops fell contritely like stones falling on her body and the falling trees became her obstacles.
She tried to move those trees but it was all in vain. She was in a dilemma again. Should she retrace her path or endeavor to move the trees as long as she can? To help her some companions reached out their hands while some just pretended to care.
In the forest in the middle of the night she realized that this was her journey and there was no one that could help her but herself. Time passed but the tree lied there in the same place reminding her that she had failed. Once again she rose with determination and gathered all the strength she had.
Finally she achieved what she wanted and moved ahead. Now she could see the sun rising and her destination coming closer. She couldn't wait anymore and she ran towards her goal, towards the road. She did survive that night and the morning took her to a new destination and a new life.
She never saw the people that left her again but thanked God everyday for the people who stayed with her till the end. She is now ready to face any other obstacle with grace and a happy face. One stormy night she became a warrior.
"She is you. She is us. She is me."
