Ten Ways To Make Your World Better :

1. Be kind and generous: In every moment of every day it is possible to change someone's life. Sometimes, it is as simple as just being kind. Whenever you have an opportunity to go the extra mile for someone - take it.

2. Be clear about what does and does not work for you: People cannot work with you if they do not know what you are all about. If you are always compromising yourself, you will not be as effective. Be honest and direct about what you are willing to take part in.

3. Be your full self: Holding back because you think that is what others want is not helpful to anyone. You would not be who you are if it was not needed. Expressing yourself authentically may cause waves at first, but in the end it will surround you with the people and circumstances that truly reflect your inner experience.

4. Let others be their full selves: The same goes for anyone else. If you think others need to be different, you are wrong. Let people be who they really are. If you don't like it, figure out how to work with it. One of the most generous and healthy things we can do is just let others be themselves.

5. Say thank you: People love to be appreciated. Let them know when you are grateful. When you do, you are more likely to keep receiving these positive things.

6. Look for ways to give back: Don't lose track of making a contribution. No matter where you find yourself in your life, you can give back in a way that helps others.

7. Tip well and tip often: If you have money -- and some might argue that this is true even if you don't have money -- make sure to support the people who Support the things you believe in: Purchase what you want to support. Spend your time doing what you want to support. Talk about the things you want to support. You get the picture?

8. Care for your health: It is hard to be our best selves when we are under the weather or treating our bodies badly. When we are not taking care of our physical self it spills over to the rest of our life and then to the others around us. Conversely, when you care for your body you not only are an inspiring example to others, you will have more energy to give back.

9. Really listen: Most people are not listened to enough. Pay attention to them and let them know they are important. When you really listen to others you increase your connection and consequently your appreciation of others.

10. Focus: Know what you want to create and how you can help others. Then do it. Most everything else is a waste of time.

The Power of Positive Thinking Leads to a Happier Healthier Life :

THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING

Well here we are and the new year could run off and leave us with little change in our lives! Before we know it 2015 will have come and gone just like 2014.

This writer believes that the number one way you can make 2015 even better than 2014 is to THINK POSITIVE in every circumstance that you face.

In order to think positively one must change their attitude, change their thoughts, and visualize positive outcomes.

Let's make this simple, imagine that a baseball player is getting ready to step up to the plate. Every thought and each visualization WILL determine his success. He must step up to the plate believing that he is going to get a base hit and he must visualize himself doing so.

If on the other hand, and I would never think like this, he steps up to the plate wondering whether he will hit the ball or not and sees himself striking out, then he is much more likely to do so. Self visualization is a very powerful tool and a key element that leads to the power that each of us has if we will become positive thinkers.

Who do you think is more likely to get a job when they go on an interview? The person who thinks they have little chance or the person that believes they will get the job and can visualize getting and doing the job.

So what is it that is really important to you? Most people answer this question by making a list that we will call a "priority" list.

My list looks like this:

1) God
2) Family & Friends
3) Work
4) Hobbies.

Your list may be different and that is okay. If you are not sure about your priorities then a good guide is to realize where you spend most of your time. In other words what do you think about the most. Your age and stage of life many times determines what you think about the most.

When I was in college my list was quite different than it is today. I spent a great deal of time thinking about girls and since I was a wrestler I thought a great deal about the up-coming meets and tournaments.

No matter what stage of life you are in you can have a great impact on your happiness by becoming a positive thinking person.

Many of us believe in the power of positive thinking but we do not know where to start. Here is a link to an article that will get you started to a happier, healthier life. http://www.successconsciousness.com/index_000009.htm

Have a happy 2015 and begin today as you decide to live a happier, healthier life by "Thinking Positive."

It is definitely your life and you can live it the way you want. Free choice and all of our freedoms are very important. If you want to lead a happier and healthier life, this is one of the ways that you can make changes that will lead to that end!

Why Am I Unhappy? - 5 Reasons That Suck Joy From Your Life :

Adulthood can be a complicated, stressed-filled, anxiety ridden part of our lives. But does it have to be this way? If the question "Why Am I Unhappy" has ever crossed your mind, I've compiled 5 reasons that suck the joy from your life.

Meet Nicole. Nicole is disillusioned because of the life she's living. In fact, she doesn't know how to living any other way. She's unhappy and doesn't know why. Check the five reasons below and notice if there are any traces of yourself similar to Nicole's. You may discover you've been unknowingly sucking the joy from your life!

Reason #1: Not Being Focused

In today's super-hyped, noisy world, there are so many things clamoring for our attention. Lack of focus causes you to become confused. I like to refer to it as B.S.O. (bright shiny object) syndrome. This is because a confused mind always says, no! When you are confused, you lack focus which may contribute to your unhappiness.

Reason #2: Taking Things Personally

Nicole takes everything personally. This is a major cause of her unhappiness. Everyone's problems become her problems. She feels that when someone has a problem, that it's her problem, and as you guessed it, the unhappiness train speeds on to SadTown.

Reason #3: Not Seeing The World As It Is

Our friend Nicole sees the world as an unfriendly place. She doesn't realize that she really sees the world as SHE is, and not as the world really is. It's all a matter of perspective. If she could just shift her perspective, she would see that if she changes the way she looks at the world, the world she looks at changes.

Reason #4: Depending On Others For Your Happiness

Most women, not all, tend to look to others to supply their dose of happiness. They look to their family, friends, boyfriends, husbands, children and other people to make them happy. While it's nice to have the love and support of people around you to contribute to your happiness, you have to be ultimately responsible for your own happiness. Start imagining your possibilities and look for things to make YOU happy.

Reason #5: Being a Conformist

Earl Nightingale, who is considered the founder of the personal growth industry stated that the problem with most people today is - they conform. They want to be like everybody else. He says we don't think for ourselves.

And Nicole fits this mold. She tries not to rock the boat, and be just like everyone else. No wonder she is unhappy. Everyone is unique and it's when we try to hide the very things that make us unique we become unhappy.

So there you have it - five reasons that can cause you unhappiness. Perhaps you saw a piece of yourself in Nicole. When you take life too seriously, it can make you downright miserable. By embracing one of the natural laws of the universe - the law of polarity, which states that everything has an opposite action, all that you need to do is reverse the five reasons listed above and start creating the life you deserve.

Joy Is Not Just for the Holidays :

Tis the season of joy. And what a short season it is.

By the beginning of January, the holidays are over, the parties have wound down, and, other than hoping to find something in your closet that fits, it's back to business as usual. The only ones left riding the joy-train are young children, blissfully unaware that the season has ended.

Yesterday, my friend Pilar had me doubled over with laughter (a form of joy) as she described her 18- month-old son's reaction to his new rocking horse on Christmas morning.

Running into her bedroom, he pulled her into the living room, pointed to the horse, and said, "Wow." After a dozen wide-eyed points and wows, he attempted to climb onto the horse, fell onto his well-cushioned rear, looked up, pointed again, and let out another, "Wow." Six days later, he still can't contain his excitement.

That kind of pure joy is available all year long if you're willing to choose it.

A big time commitment is not required, but your full attention is. Five minutes a day watching the sun rise or set, playing with your child or pet, or surprising a friend with a phone call are all examples of simple ways to bring joy into your day.

If music makes you happy, listen to your favorite CD while lying on the floor with your eyes closed - or stand up and dance around the room.

A few days ago I took a yoga class set to disco music, and the sight of a roomful of people bouncing to the music while in downward dog position was a joyful sight to behold.

What brings you joy? As the New Year begins, choose to experience one joyful moment a day. You might just find it's the exact ingredient you need to live your day the way you want to live your life.

Be human! My respect for them :

Be human! My respect for them :

To many if not most people, this is not a very attractive option for a number of reasons, most typically because they fear it involves giving up on a number of behaviours or goals in life that they believe are important to them, and they do not believe would be compatible with being a better or good person.

Humanity is at the brink of its greatest evolution... But how many of us even realize it?

We are all the same: We are human beings; our DNA matches every other human being on the face of the planet at a rate of 99% or higher. We are one race, the human race. We are all brothers and sisters of humanity, family of the greatest proportion. 7 billion individuals with the ability and capacity to love each and every one of us.

Wouldn't it be amazing if we saw ourselves as one big family, as brothers and sisters of the human race? Celebrating our differences as strengths and avenues for growth. Realizing that we are all connected and that we only grow together.

We are all the same and no matter how much we create to separate us, no matter what labels we write to segregate us, the truth remains... Without one another humanity cannot thrive, without one another humanity would not and cannot exist.

So my dear, we are all the same, all we need just to respect ourselves. Enjoy your life, be human and believe in humanity.

Best wishes,
BenMotibate,

Some Tips To Find Your Own Happiness :

Happiness is defined as a state of well-being characterized by emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. How can we find happiness? Where to look for it? And why there are lots of people who possess everything they need to be happy and yet they are not?

The following tips shed some light on happiness and provide some practical tips on how to find it.

1. You NEVER know how things will turn out... not when you're careful and not when you take chances. You're not in control of the universe. (You knew that, right?) You can have a plan, a safety net, and a back-up plan.

You still don't get guaranteed outcomes. And that's actually liberating, because it means you don't have to waste your energy trying to wrestle your life into submission. Instead, you get to channel that energy towards your dreams and goals.

2. Gratitude. Happiness and gratitude often go hand in hand. No one can feel happy without appreciating what he or she already has. Yet, most people tend to take things for granted. They may possess all they may need but still don't feel happy or grateful for what God has given them. When times get tough, thanking God of what we already have or what He has already given us will make us feel better about ourselves and in result happier.

3. Ask for what you want & need. It is amazing how many times I hear people tell me that they shouldn't have to ask their partner for what they want and need from them - their partner should just know. This sentiment never ceases to amaze me.

Refusing to ask to get your needs met from your partner only leaves you feeling empty, unfulfilled and often angry; with this anger doing nothing to help your relationship expect fuel resentment over time. And nothing kills intimacy like resentment.

Therefore, if you need your partner to help with the dishes, the kids, the house, etc., ASK! Fuming to yourself that your partner should just know and you shouldn't have to tell him doesn't serve you, your relationship or do anyone else any good. It is your responsibility to speak up and be heard!

So my dear, don't be lazy and make an effort, cook them a posher meal than normal, dress up nicely, and offer them a back massage. Whatever it is, go the extra mile and it will be reciprocated.

Living the dream :

As I looked at my life, I asked myself a question! How many of you know if you had your life to live over again? Now that proves the point.

What we do ? What we accomplished ? What we produce in life is only the tip of the iceberg ? What's possible for us ?

I want you to think about some major goal that give your life sense of meaning right now. Something that will give your life sense of purpose and direction, some personal goal that you would like to achieve.

Something that give your life meeting right now. And some career goals, some financial goals that you would like to achieve. And your social contribution.

"Harsh man said we should be ashamed to die, until we make some major contribution to humankind."

What's your goal, what's your dream ? If everybody live their dream, Here's what I found about life. It's not as complicated as I used to make it, I think that life this about dreams and stories. But everything that we see every day had a dream. Computers, Iphone, Ipad...etc.

All the things that we see someone had a dream. Someone had a dram of a person standing on stage and their voice being amplify. Someone had that dream how to transporters from one place to the other quickly and safely.

Imagine if you will being on your deadthbed, and standing around your bed, the ghost of the dreams, the ideas, the abilities, the talents, given to you by life and that you for whatever reason you never went after that dream.

You never acted on those ideas, you necer use those talents, you never use those gifts, and there standing around your bed looking at you with a large angry eyes saying, we came to you, and only you could have given us life.

And now, we must die with you forever.

Happiness: Is Being In Touch With Our Needs An Important Part Of Being Happy?

There are many things that people want in today's world, and one of those things is to be happy. But although this is what people want, it is not always that they receive. Someone can feel as though it is impossible for them to fulfil this need and that they would have more chance finding the end of a rainbow.

However, when one is happy, it doesn't mean that they are doing something that fulfils them. It could simply mean that they are drinking alcohol, or that they have taken drugs. One then feels happy due to what they have consumed, and when this experience comes to an end, they could soon feel unhappy.

This would be a sign that their life is not fulfilling and that one feels completely disconnected from what matters. One could feel as though life has no meaning and that they need to take things in order to feel happy.

Meaning

There are then going to be other people who are happy and this will be because of the kind of life they are living. This doesn't mean that they constantly feel happy and always have a smile on their face, it means that they are connected to what matters.

Through being connected, one is then able to live a life based on what matters to them. Their life is then a reflection of their needs, and as one is living their 'truth', it is possible for them to feel happy.

Out of Touch

Yet, if one was not in touch with their needs, their life would be completely different. They could end up believing that life has no meaning and the only way for them to feel happy is to find things that will stimulate their senses.

When they see other people who are happy, they could come to believe that they have something that they don't. One could end up feeling like a victim or that they are unlucky. And if one has never been in touch with their needs, this could be seen as normal response.

Looking Outside

When one is in touch with their needs and what is taking place externally reflects their needs, they are going to feel happy. This means that one is not simply looking for the outside world to make them feel happy; they are playing their part through being in touch with their inner world.

If one wasn't aware of what was going on within them, they are then likely to look outside for meaning and fulfilment. But unless one is aware of what will make them happy, it might not matter where they or what they do.

Distractions

One thing the Media likes to do is to make people believe they will be happy if they buy a certain product. And while this product may make one feel happy for a short time, it will soon wear off.

Although another person can ask questions and be an example, it is not possible for them to know what one's needs are. The only person who can find this out is oneself.

Disconnected

So if one is disconnected from themselves, it is only natural for them to look outside for answers. It could be that they have never been around anyone who has encouraged them to look within.

One could come across someone who is happy and believe that if they did the same thing, they would also be happy. But just because someone else is happy doing something, it doesn't mean that one will be happy doing the same thing.

Social Conditioning

People are conditioned to want certain things and while this is good for the economy (and the people who are creating the products); this might be as far as it goes. The underlying message is that if one buys what is being sold, they will end up feeling happy.

However, this conditioning might be nothing more than a continuation of what they experienced whilst they were growing up. And due to what happened during the beginning of their life, it then set them up to fall for the illusions that society creates.

Needs

There are going to be some people who are have always been in touch with their needs and others who have developed this connection later in life. Then there are going to be others who have never been in touch with their needs.

When one is in touch with their needs, it could be due to how they caregivers responded to their needs. If, on the other hand, one is out of touch with their needs, it could mean that one's caregivers ignored their needs.

The Body

It is also going to be important for one to be in their body, and this will enable them to tune into their needs and feelings. And while one's needs and feelings could be seen as separate, they are interconnected.

For it is one's feelings that will let them know if they are doing the right thing and therefore, if their needs are being met. So if one doesn't know what their needs are, they might have trouble knowing how they feel.

Awareness

This could mean that needs to deal with the emotional pain that is stopping them from being in their body and as this takes place, one will start to connect to their needs. One might also need to take the time to focus on what matters to them and to step back from their conditioned.

The assistance of a therapist or a healer can allow one to release the emotional pain within them and they can also provide attunement that one may need to be able connect to their needs.

Live Your Life, It Belongs To You :

Live your life. Yes, live your life the way you want to. Do what makes you happy.

So many times we get so caught up in what other people think and what they do that we start to think to ourselves "Should I be doing that too?" "Maybe I'm doing it all wrong, and my life would be so much better if only I did the things that (you fill in the blank) did.

The truth is that you will never be genuinely happy doing the things that other people do unless you like them as well. If you don't, if you don't really feel drawn to do things in a certain way; if you only think that because you see somebody else doing, it then you'll never be happy.

Let me give you an example. Peas. Now you may be thinking to yourself, "Okay, Debbie, you must have been out in the sun too long, what the heck do peas have to do with being happy?"

It's simple; I don't like peas. Okay, I'll be honest here, I more than dislike peas I absolutely hate them. So even if somebody came along and told me that if I liked peas that my life would be perfect it wouldn't matter to me.

My life would not be perfect because I would be choking down the gosh darned peas! Your life might be perfect if you liked peas. Your Aunt Matilda's life might be perfect if she liked peas. But not me.

Now, kidney beans are a different story. I like them.

Happiness is a Dog Who Loves Me :

It's been a few months since I've written and here I am resurfacing. Many social media experts and marketers have told me "You SHOULD write on a more regular basis". I'm of the mindset that "should" eventually leads to a manifestation of physical illnesses, so I avoid thinking "I should do this" or "I should do that".

Instead I focus on following my inner calling and listening to what truly makes my heart sing. When we are truly happy, we can lead our lives from a place of peace and fulfillment.

So what is it that makes your heart sing? Do you feel that you can live your life as you choose and not as you "should"? It comes back to how you feel after you make a decision. Sometimes decisions are not easy to make and we tend to put them off.

Once the decision is made, you may notice that you immediately feel better. When you want to manifest the life of your dreams, you need to listen to your feelings.

I suggest you start with little steps. Start by making a list of a dozen or so things that make you feel good. These can be little everyday things that we sometimes don't fully appreciate. It's all about discovering the magic in the little things in life.

So what can some of these little things be? Here are a few examples from my list:

1. Eating my lunch outdoors
2. Having a hot bath in a soaker tub
3. Jumping on my rebounder
4. Calling a friend just to chat
5. Treating myself to a bowl of plump raspberries
6. Spending time in the sunshine whenever possible
7. Playing with my dog

Does this list give you a starting place and have you thinking about your own list? Everyone has different likes, so go wild and make a list of your favourite things.

I must admit that although playing with my dog is at the bottom of my list, my dog often brings so much joy into my life. He greets me at the door every time I come home as if it's the first time. He's full of boundless energy, love, and joy.

On days when I'm working from home, he'll remind me to take a break on a regular schedule of every hour to hour and a half. I'll ask "Do you want to go out?" - no reaction. I'll ask "Are you hungry?" - no reaction.

But when I ask "Do you want to play?", he jumps and runs in circles with his tail wagging for joy. I think we could all learn a lot from our dogs by leading simpler, yet happier lives.

Because my dog and other happy animals bring me so much joy, I've added a new section to my website with "Happy Clips". Please check it out and let me know what you think.

If you come across clips that you think would be good to add to this page, I'd love to hear from you. Let's all join together to make the world a happier place.

Want to be more happy, you can check out my website where I have "Happy Clips" at http://mrsgreenjeansplantsseeds.com/happy-clips/

5 Reasons You Are Not Happy - And How to Change It :

If you were to ask a group of people what their #1 goal in life is, I am sure most would say to be happy. I know that's probably the first thing that would come to my mind.

I am sure there are people you know who are genuinely happy. Perhaps you are one of those people. I'm also sure you also deal with people who never seem to be happy, and even tend to make it a goal to bring others down with them to their sad level. Then there is another group of people who want to be happy, but just can't seem to get there, or at least stay at a high level of happiness for very long.

Perhaps you are not at the level of happiness you want to be at, or happiness doesn't occur as consistently as you would like. You're happy one day, then sad or angry for three. What are you doing wrong? Here are some of the main possibilities:

1. You are focusing on what's wrong - It's a life law that the more you focus on what you don't want, the more it tends to show up.

2. You are not focused on the present - Instead you dwell on past mistakes or worry about future problems.

3. You are not focused on you - When you spread yourself too thin trying to please everyone else, you tend to lose focus on who you really are.

4. You don't have goals - Some of the greatest satisfaction in life comes from hitting a major goal or milestone. If you have nothing to shoot for how can you hit?

5. You are spending too much time with negative people - Sometimes you can't control who you spend your time with, but many times you can. Are you spending your time with enough positive people?

There may be other reasons that it is difficult to find happiness. I find that these are the core reasons in my own life, and in many others that I have had this discussion with. So what are the solutions? How do I add more consistent happiness to my life? I believe the answers are found within the problems:

1. Focus on what it right with your life. According to the same law mentioned above, the more you focus on what you DO WANT, the more it tends to show up. Also, when you are grateful for the smaller things in life, bigger blessings tend to show up on a regular basis.

2. Keep your mind focused on the present moment. It is the only period of time where you have full control and maximum power. Instead of dwelling on past mistakes, use them as learning experiences to help you take positive action now. If you keep your mind focused on doing all you can now, it takes it away from what might go wrong in the future. Avoid worrying about what hasn't even happened yet.

3. Maximize your "me" time. I am not saying to be selfish and forget about everyone else. However, if you take some time each day, even if it's only a few minutes, you will feel more refreshed and fulfilled. In addition, the more you love and appreciate yourself, the more love you have to give to others. That can only be a win-win situation.

4. Set goals. Determine exactly what you want. Then visualize the successful realization of it and live as if you already have it. You will soon live it for real, thus bringing even more happiness into your life.

5. As often as possible, spend time with positive people. I understand it may be difficult to get away from negative people at home, at a job, or any other place where many negative people exist. If you find it difficult to find positive people, listen to positive messages.

Find a sermon from Joel Osteen, or read a book by Wayne Dyer. There are countless resources you can find to provide a daily dose of positivity. I strongly recommend you take advantage of their availability.

Once again I will say these are the cores way to avoid and gain greater happiness. I will say above all that happiness is a choice. I have seen people whose lives are filled with blessings. Yet they still complain and are not happy.

I have seen people who have virtually nothing, who not only live each day with a smile on their face, but go out of their way to make others happy as well. If you want to be happy, you can simply choose to be, no matter what your circumstances are.

I certainly hope these ideas help you in your journey. If you have any other ideas that you believe can add to the happiness of others, please comment. I would greatly appreciate your ideas.

As you move ahead with your day, I remind you with the words of the old song... "don't worry. Be happy!

Perfection - Being Well Suited for Our Purpose :

"So how is your pursuit of excellence?" I asked Amy as soon as I answered her call. I won't repeat her colorful retort, but we both laughed. If anyone had overheard us they would have sensed the mutual affection in our banter. What may not have been apparent is the depth to which we've explored the spiritual path together, with me in the role of mentor.

After a pause, Amy picked up the theme. "Ron, I'm really struggling at work today. I have messed up several times, and I'm afraid how I'm treating others is not what it should be. Frankly, I'm just about ready to plan my escape to Mongolia or someplace really remote where I don't have to deal with this."

"Sounds like a challenging day. Of course, if you flee, I'll miss you a lot."

She chuckled. "I know it's just a fantasy. Even if I went there, the damn herders there would present me with the same problems."

"Yeah?" I inquired with curiosity about where she might go with her thinking.

"Yep. I'm convinced. Everywhere I go, there I am. There's no escaping me."

Now I chuckled. Amy is a very, very good student of life.

"So do you want to hear a few thoughts about your pursuit of excellence?"

"Of course. Lay it on me."

"You're perfect, Amy. Perfect."

There was a long pause before she replied. "I was waiting for the punchline."

"Actually," I began, "Do you know the spiritual understanding from the point of view of Jesus?" As an aside, the question was in itself a bit of a test because Amy has a rather disappointing historical experience with the churches of her youth.

"Okay," she responded with an obviously tentative tone.

"Great. There's a scripture that says, 'Be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect.' What's really cool is to understand the meaning of the word perfect in the context it was written."

"Really?" Amy replied with obvious interest now that we'd gone in an unexpected direction.

"Yeah. The proper definition of perfection in that context is 'well suited to a particular purpose.' It does not mean to be without flaw. And you are very well suited to that purpose at work and in life. So you are perfect, honey. Absolutely perfect."

The feeling of the stillness told me we were both in a state of spiritual awareness.

"I'm going to need an example."

"Okay. Have you ever seen a head of lettuce that was without blemish? No flaws? No brown spots? No misshapenness? Have you ever seen a totally symmetrical, fully colored head of lettuce?"

"Of course not," she replied with a snort.

"Bingo, Amy. And those flaws in no way impair the effectiveness of the head of lettuce as a food and source of nutrition. It's very well suited to its purpose. So it's perfect. Just like you."

There was a very long pause as I waited.

"Damn," she said in hushed voice. "That is really cool."

We laughed together before she added. "Who knew lettuce could make such a great spiritual parable?"

Seeing True

Each of us is well suited to a particular purpose. No exceptions.

Seeing True in Action

Most of us have been conditioned to see flaws in ourselves. It's a negative, judgmental lens that is common to humanity.

Instead, we might look to understand that to which we are well suited. A fine resource is strengths-based assessments you'll find in tools like Strengths Finder 2.0.

If you'd like to change your self-perception, look at yourself from a different perspective.

These Are My Favourite 6 Ways To Create More Happiness NOW!

Happiness is something that is not outside of you. You in fact have access to it right now and it is your right to experience more natural happiness as life is really too short not to be happy. I hope that these ideas can help you and you can overcome the stresses of life to be happier and more successful in life.

If you suffer from stress or anxiety and panic attacks or depression then these ideas may assist your day and perhaps your life from now on. Sometimes it's just like flipping a switch in our mind so that we can see things differently, and the fact that you are here is already a positive step. Keep doing things like this.

I hope that these ideas can help you and you can overcome the obstacles of life to be happier and more successful.

We tend to make life far more complicated than it needs to be, so when we create more simplicity we can master our minds and bodies.

So here are your 6 Ways To Create More Happiness NOW!

1) USE POSITIVE SELF TALK AND NOTICE YOUR NEGATIVE TALK

It is very hard to notice all of your words and thoughts as there are so many that we have each day that we cannot possibly monitor everything, but just try to notice where you may be talking yourself out of happiness or a positive experience in your day.

Just begin today noticing how you speak to yourself and flip any bad words or sentences into positive ones. They say that if you practice something for 21-30 days then it will take shape.

2) EXERCISE

Need I expand? It is proven that by exercising you will feel much happier and, you can get healthier and live longer so where's the bad. Choose what works for you and get started today. There are no excuses for doing something and this really helps to shift a mindset that is stuck

3) EAT BETTER FOOD

When we eat junk we are not really feeding our minds and bodies in the best ways. The Earth has provided us with essential nutrients found in vegetables, fruit, and other natural sources like nuts and fish etc. Watch what you put into your mouth and your mind and body will thank you.

4) STUDY POSITIVE PEOPLE AND THINGS

Read more about what you want to focus on. Get into a zone that for you is soothing and nourishing. never stop learning, expand your mind and increase your awareness with things like Mindfulness meditation and visualisation techniques. You can find plenty of great tools at Google and YouTube.

5) LISTEN TO MUSIC

Music is the food for the soul. It can lift your spirits almost immediately and change your perspective fast. Go out dancing as well as this will help you to shake off stress that has built up in your mind and body across the week.

6) WATCH COMEDIES

Who doesn't like laughter? Laughing is a natural tonic and will alter your state very quickly. Plus by laughing we create natural feel good endorphins similar to when we exercise, that lift us up and put us back into the present moment.  Again, try YouTube there are thousands of funny clips there. Spend more time laughing and smiling.

Just by incorporating these 6 Ways To Create More Happiness NOW into your life more often you will see a marked difference in your attitude, perception and self belief, and get more done.

Try any number of them but just do something and make them new habits for the New year ahead. Gaining more happiness in life is about doing more for yourself first in order to deal with the outside world after.

Random Acts of Kindness by Invisible Heroes :

The world is a fantastic place to live. Love makes it spin and it's run by invisible heroes performing random, selfless acts of love and kindness. You will be graced by these invisible heroes for a brief moment in time. After performing these acts, they seemingly vanish and more often than not forever. We very seldom see or even hear from them again.

Some would call these heroes angels and these names are interchangeable to describe them. Early one Saturday morning whilst on a cycle training ride, I managed to hit a log in the road and fell of quite badly.

Lying on the very hard, rough road after grinding to a halt using mainly my left elbow, two such heroes came from the darkness up the road and without question, stopped their morning ride, put their bikes down to assist a complete stranger.

Asking nothing in return for their actions, they effectively picked me up, dusted me off, and checked I was adequately safe and healthy. Once they had confirmed that I was safe and had a plan to get help, I sent them on their way.

To this day, I could not identify these two people. I can tell you they are male and they were riding mountain bikes. That's it! It goes without saying that I am of course grateful and thankful to these two heroes for a simple and pretty random act of kindness.

Now that I have been on the receiving end of this fantastic yet random act of kindness, I can only hope and pray that one day, somewhere, you will receive such a gift. These angels or heroes are exactly that - a gift to you. It's a gift that you never think you will need nor one you could say you want. It is however, one you will never forget.

I hope that you have been on the receiving end of such kindness or love. I have to ask a little more than that though, have you ever been "the invisible hero?" Some years ago I have had the honour of being the hero.

True to the nature of the act, I received no credit for the act of saving a drowning mans life nor did I ask for any credit. I have now, some seventeen odd years later found out that It is certainly better to give than to receive in the situation of random acts of kindness.

This is a way of getting my "2 cents" heard but its now more than that. I use the portal to uplift, encourage and help others through experiences in life that I have been through and are going through.

Come along, read the blog and comment.

How to Find the Happy Magic in the Bubbles of Life :

Life is full of amazing moments. Babies laughing. Morning coffee. The sound of cicadas. The unconditional love of a dog. A cool breeze through an open window. A favorite song on the radio. These and countless other small joys were shared in a Facebook survey that received more comments than any Facebook post I've ever shared.

And while we are surrounded by these mini moments of joy, we are often so busy thinking about what we need to do next -- after the meeting, after work, this weekend, next month -- that we forget to stop and appreciate what's right in front of us. We go about our daily lives in a routine that makes us feel in control but this repetition doesn't inspire us to be more, see more and do more with this one life we've been given.

Imagine a glass of champagne, all fizzy and bubbly on the tongue. Just one sip and life feels special. But when we let that champagne sit, the bubbles settle and it tastes like just what it is -- flat. Shake it up again and the bubbles return bringing back the sparkly experience that lit us up for a brief magical moment.

Life is like that too. Let it sit and it gets flat, boring, uninspiring. We get stuck. Shake it up and the tiny bubbles of joy spin and whiz creating an inspired experience. Notice I said TINY bubbles. These tiny bubbles are the tiny, almost imperceptible moments that surround us every day -- moments we often miss because we're too busy being busy. These bubbly moments go unnoticed causing life to feel flat until we make a conscious effort to shake things up again.

Stop, Look and Listen to the Bubbles

Parents teach children to cross the street by teaching them to stop, look and listen. The main goal of this three-step process is to make kids fully aware of the surroundings and the street to ensure no cars are coming and it's safe to cross.

The same concept applies when we are learning to see and appreciate the bubbles of happiness that float around us all the time. When we stop, look and listen we bring our surroundings and our life into focus which helps us become fully aware of our place in this world.

This new awareness brings with it a new appreciation for the simple, amazing and powerful bubbles of joy that rise and fall around us all the time.

How can we embrace this way of thinking so these moments of bubbly happiness don't pass us by?

1. STOP -- Life is go, go, go. It's hectic, crazy, stressful and wild. This constant movement is important for forward progress but it must be balanced out with rest and reflection. The quickest way to build in that balance is to simply stop doing what you're doing and just be.

That's hard for must of us because we're so used to non-stop activity and plowing through our to-do lists all day, every day. However, if we can take one-to-five minutes every hour to stop what we are doing and focus on the moment, it helps us once again notice the joy bubbles fizzing and flowing around us.

2. LOOK -- In today's technology-focused world, we are constantly slumped over computer screens, tablets, phones and video games looking at a screen. Take three minutes twice a day to look up and out at your surroundings.

Notice the people, environment, animals and nature around you. Look out at the horizon line as far as the eye can reach and really look at where you're at in this big and bubbly world.

3. LISTEN -- The din of everyday life often clouds the messages that our heart and soul are trying to tell us. Build in a few minutes every day to reflect on your current life situation, your goals, your big, crazy dreams and your challenges in reaching them.

As you begin to tune in to what your body, mind and spirit are telling you, the world around you will become much clearer making way for the celebratory bubbles of self-awareness, fulfillment and joy that come from living in the moment.

When was the last time you noticed and appreciated a bird building a nest, the color yellow, palm trees swaying in the wind, an extra 15 minutes when a meeting gets done early, sleeping in, stories from a senior citizen or hitting every green light? When you stop, look and listen to the world around you, these small joys can add up to an amazing life experience that feels a lot like a non-stop, fizzy, joyful celebration.

Ways to Survive the Cold in the Countryside :

With less pollution and more open space than a built up city, the temperature will always be colder in the countryside during the winter months.

Here are some simple tips to help get you through those cold months in the countryside!

Keep Active

Many of us would rather hibernate during the winter, rather than go outside and exercise. Wear layers so as your body temperature increases you can take them off. If you really can't workout in the cold, then head to your local gym. Getting your friends involved too will help to keep you motivated.

Drive Safely

Rain, ice and snow can make driving unsafe if you aren't prepared. Make sure your car is ready for winter; if snow is expected then you may want to think about changing to winter tyres or getting specialist chains for your wheels. Keep a shovel in the boot in case you need to clear a path and have plenty of de-icer in the car too.

Be Prepared

It never hurts to be prepared for a bad winter. If you live out in the countryside you may be subject to power cuts and road closures. Have an emergency kit prepared, including a torch with new batteries, candles, food, water and blankets.

Stay Healthy

The winter season wouldn't be complete without the common cold! Try to avoid illness if you can by getting plenty of sleep, keeping your hands clean and exercising regularly. Ensure you are taking plenty of Vitamin C and have some medicine ready so you can try to kill off the cold when you notice early symptoms.

Keep Your Home Warm

Chances are if you live in the countryside, you could be heating your home with heating oil. Regardless of your heating system, be sure that you are not wasting heat. Check for cracks around windows and doors, ensure your windows are closed if you've got the heating on and you could use draft excluders too.

This way, your home will stay warm and you should also make savings on your heating bills. It is also far more economical to concentrate on heating yourself rather than the whole house, layers are the best way.

It's also a good idea to get your boiler serviced. This will ensure it runs smoothly during the winter months and you won't encounter any unnecessary boiler breakdowns that leave your home feeling bitterly cold.

How do you prepare for winter?

Mental Growth - A Key Ingredient to Fulfillment and Happiness :

Many of us spend much of our lives focused on doing things in an attempt to make us feel "happy".

This may initially seem like a worthy pursuit, but does the practice of "happy-chasing", and nothing more, lead to a truly satisfying existence? Too often, when we do find something that invokes momentary happiness, it's like a sugar-rush for the brain. Fun, but not sustainable.

Is there something more we can do to get some long-term satisfaction?

Instead of just chasing happiness, what if we chased a life of fulfillment?

A fulfilled life has loads of moments of happiness, and bonus, there's much more! Fulfillment provides a deep sense of meaning, purpose, and completeness that is remains even when we're not "blissing-out" in moments of happiness.

We can and we should demand more for ourselves. I'll show you how to begin your own journey to fulfillment by discussing one of my favorite characteristics of fulfilled life...

Growing!

I'm not talking about getting older or taller. I'm talking about our mental growth. Our minds thrive on engagement and stimulation. Not just in familiar tasks, but in learning and challenging ourselves. Engaging in a life dedicated to constantly learning can improve our relationships, business, and our overall competencies.

A 4 year study at the Autónoma University of Madrid revealed adults engaged in learning activities experienced:

  • Improved memory function
  • Improved social activities
  • Improved productivity
  • Increased emotional balance
  • Decreased likelihood of depression.
Keep your mind engaged. Learn something new, and/or improve your knowledge on a topic, hobby or skill that you're already familiar with.

One of the greatest things we can do to stimulate growth is to have clarity about what we want. To take a dream and transform it into a goal. How? By developing a strategy and obsessively taking real action toward making it real.

When we're making the journey toward accomplishing a goal, we're constantly learning and growing. Decide to learn more, grow more, feel more vibrant and alive!

Mental growth doesn't have to come from enrolling in formal educational classes. It certainly can, but there are plenty of things to learn that will strengthen your mind.

  • Learning an Instrument
  • Painting
  • Personal Development
  • Writing
  • Photography
  • Dancing
  • Film making
  • Cooking...

This list could literally be endless, but the point is that you don't have to spend tons of money and tie yourself down to traditional education to be growing mentally.

Here are a few of my favorite resources for learning something new at no cost:

iTunesU - Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT, Cambridge are all represented here. There is a seemingly endless source of free courses on everything from Language to Music to Neuroscience that can be found and enjoyed at no cost on iTunes U. I almost feel guilty using it so much... almost.

edX.org - Much like iTunes, edX offers from courses from some of the heaviest hitters in the world on topics ranging from architecture to philosophy. They also have peer to peer tools for a more social experience as you learn. You will need to register, but it only takes a sec and it's 100% free.

Openculture.com - Free textbooks, language lessons, movies, certificate courses, audiobook... phew! I'm outta breath. There's so much more here, it's all free, and you're really going to enjoy it. Check them out!

These are just my favorite 3, and you could spend a lifetime learning from these resources.

Feel free to check them out, or Google "open course" + your topic to find many more free resources on virtually any area of interest.

Remember, an active mind is a fulfilled mind, and a fulfilled mind is usually... happy!

I hope you enjoy!

Be kind to yourself. Be kind to your life. You only get one.

We'll chat soon - Until then, as always, I'll be cheering you on.
