Go for broke or go home. Well, sometimes you have got to be tough. Taking a risk is one of the hardest things to do in this world, yet one that is so rewarding when you are finally able to reap its benefits.
Some people have the guts, some don't. That's the way the world goes. But as far as I know, being a risk-taker is a trait that one could be extremely proud of. If you have the guts, well thank the Gods for it because people seldom go for broke.
One thing to remember when taking risks is the effect that it could bring to people who are involved. It is an amazing feeling when you throw caution to the wind but always take note of the people around you.
Sure, you want to be extremely successful, but do you want to be called selfish just to get what you want? If your answer is yes, then think again.
Another thing to take note of is how far are you willing to go to become successful? If you decide to go for broke, you have to consider plenty of things before you attain your goal.
However, reaching your goals is a really brave act. As Helen Keller once said, "Security is mostly a superstition. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."
As cliché as it may sound, this passage is simply referring to living life to the fullest. Try every dare; live every dream. Love the person your heart desires, because life is too short to have regrets. Go for it, because you never know what will happen next.
Take a Big Step: Go for broke
Life is a big game of truth or dare. You either take the dare or you will forever wonder what could have happened if you did. It could also be a game of spin the bottle, when the bottle points to your direction, would you be willing to face it head-on or decide to end the game and just run away? Life is a game; it's either you gamble or you chicken out.
David Lloyd George once said: "Don't be afraid to take a big step. You can't cross a chasm in two small jumps." You can't expect everything to be fed to you through a silver spoon. It's either you take the big leap or you don't.
Which one do you think will give you ultimate success? Don't get me wrong; deciding to go for broke is definitely not an easy task.
It requires skill, determination, perseverance and hard work to acquire such. But how will you know if you just sit around waiting for luck to happen? Life is a battlefield, and you are the soldier.
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
These words came straight from Mark Twain. Would you rather live a life wondering what could have happened if you went to that interview? Would you rather sulk in a corner thinking about your boss' reaction about that suggestion that was in your mind but never got to say out loud?
Well if you ask me, I would definitely tell you to go for broke. It might not be easy but hey, think about the rewards. You might even get promoted if you decide to just wing it.
Surround yourself with positive people. That is definitely a big step when you decide to just go for it. Surrounding yourself with people and letting them encourage you is a big step to being successful.
And once you decide to go for broke, the domino effect rubs on other people, too. You become a magnet of positive energy surrounding your friends and inspiring them to go for their goals. Now, who wouldn't love a person with so much ambition and drive?
Go for broke, I say to you.
As Jim McMahon once said, "Yes, risk-taking is inherently failure-prone. Otherwise, it would be called 'sure-thing-taking.'" Do not be afraid to fail. Failure is inevitable. You can't be successful in a day or two. Luck is a thing that is forever stuck in our minds.
Change your mindset and focus on your goals. Do what you love. Otherwise, you'd just be another person wondering what could have been. Every risk is worth taking, so I suggest you go for broke.
