As an aside, I will use the subject of day trading and trends in it as a "foil" for a metaphor of helping yourself that I want to put forth.
Think about it, the only sure thing to do is a sort of winning therapy that is certain to succeed, meaning doing what is needed to succeed whatever it is based on the genuine return on investment reality instead of gambling on "the sure thing" with high odds.
Gambling may be more exciting than going with what has the genuine return on investment, but when you lose, that is not an exciting feeling.
When you genuinely win through small but ultimately certain returns on investment, that is better than "losing big". I did not say, "do not take the risk", I said, "be reasonable in your investments."
I was reading a book called "The Win Within" by Bert R. Mandelbaum, what I got from his book is that winning is developed through understanding and training, not instantly through gambling or rushing into anything.
For instance, say you tried to run a marathon without training for it even once, gambling that you can finish all right without getting tired even.
That is unreasonable to say the least. But, through training, work, understanding, and mastery, success and a great finish is certain. I have just given the secret of entry in successful day trading and successful living, for that matter here.
Instead of a big exit with a "big killing", expect to get rich through many small successes that become ultimately big.
I have just given you the simple secret to a successful exit of the deal without gambling required or needed. Know your wealth goal well and take the steps to genuinely achieve it and you creatively will.
So, I would like to end with this warning: More money gets wasted on attempts on first try big profits than anything else there could ever be. Resilience is built, not given easily. That is a law of life, existence, understanding and calculation.
Without the return on investment rationally done, it is all just gambling, not intuition. Real intuition is rationality combined with instinct, and developed resilience and persistence.
It is not instant winning through gambling, chance and being slick. In short, investment is not gambling, it is the art of getting real and lasting returns through persistence and resilience, combined with success. It all depends on you.
